FAQ
Comcord revolutionizes Discord management by enabling you to view and control multiple chats simultaneously. This level of convenience and control is unparalleled, allowing for more efficient moderation, easier tracking of conversations, and ultimately, a more engaged and well-managed community.
There is no hard limit to the number of chats you can manage with Comcord.
Comcord is in the middle of development, theres a feature list a mile long and there are some unknown limits. Read the guide for information on the limits of a discord bot.
Connecting your Discord bot to Comcord is straightforward. After creating a bot on Discord and following the guide, you'll receive a token. In Comcord, navigate to "Profile" and enter this token. Your bot is now connected and ready to help manage your chats!
A bot account acts as an interface between comcord and discord. The bot listens to the events taking place in the servers its a member of, and makes that information accessible to whoever has the bots token.
We store your bot token in our database and use it to open up a channel of communication with discord and interact with their API. The bot token is in no way connected to your personal discord account, and any bad actors who have your token will be able to impersonate you through your bot account. It is essentially a password for your bot, but also a unique ID that discord can read, it is important that you keep it safe and do not regard it as any less important than a normal password.
Simply go onto the discord developer portal where you created your bot, and click on the reset token button. After doing this make sure you update your comcord settings with the new token. This can be done as many times as you would like and causes no issues on our end.
Not even close.
The core feature of having chats side by side is complete and some common features, but theres hundreds of interactions and edge cases that need dealing with and are all being worked on.
Comcord will provide server analytics tools in the future and there is an auto response management feature in the pipeline. We have many ideas which will enhance the discord experience.
